Welcome to Marymount Studio

More than a place to stay, Marymount is a place to be received.

Marymount offers carefully prepared, personally guided retreats where beauty, spiritual direction, contemplative practice, and attentive hospitality create space to encounter the welcoming love of God.

What Is Marymount Studio?

Unlike many retreat houses that offer solitude through distance, Marymount offers contemplation within the midst of ordinary life. Hidden in a neighborhood garden yet connected to a living parish, guests are invited into both silence and communion. They may spend long hours reading, praying, creating, walking, or simply resting. They may also join the gathered Church in worship, receive the Eucharist, or meet with a spiritual director for prayer and discernment.

Marymount is inspired by the life of the Blessed Virgin Mary, whose open heart became a dwelling place for Christ and a refuge for all who sought him. In that same spirit, this retreat house hopes to embody a quiet, mothering hospitality—a place where those who have spent themselves caring for others may themselves be cared for.

We believe that healing is often less about striving than about being received. That beauty can become a sacrament of God's tenderness. That creativity can open new pathways for prayer. That attentive presence can mend what constant productivity cannot.

Our hope is simple: that every guest leaves remembering they are first and forever God's beloved before they are pastors, priests, deacons, directors, therapists, leaders, or caregivers.

Marymount exists to make room for that remembering.

Every Marymount retreat is thoughtfully prepared for each guest. Rather than offering lodging alone, each retreat includes spiritual direction, personalized retreat planning, creative practices, and attentive pastoral hospitality in a contemplative setting.
