Experience a welcome that heals.
Creative care for your soul and the spaces that matter most.
What brings you here, friend?
Hi, my name is Kaysie Strickland and I am thankful you took time to visit today.
Everyone arrives here with a longing—sometimes it’s clear, sometimes it’s still forming. Perhaps you’re carrying a story that needs a soft place to land, or perhaps you’re longing for a space that finally feels like it’s holding you with the same tenderness you offer everyone else.
At Listening House, you are welcomed into a slow, spacious way of being—one where beauty, rest, and deep attention become companions on your healing path.
Begin by choosing the doorway that feels most true for today:
Care for your soul
Trauma-Informed Spiritual Direction
For the soul who is tired of rushing past their own life.
Here we move gently—through deep listening, creative practice and guided noticing—to help you honor what you’ve lived, release what no longer holds you, and discover what is quietly asking to grow. This is a sanctuary for discerning, healing, remembering, and listening for God in the small and ordinary.
Care for your space
Trauma-Informed Interior Design
For the one whose rooms no longer feel like refuge.
Here we treat your home as a sacred companion—considering light, texture, color, arrangement, and the story your space is longing to tell. Through trauma-informed, contemplative design, we shape environments that soothe your nervous system, restore your imagination, and support the life you are cultivating.
Let’s help you design a space that’s healing, hospitable to your story, and a gentle reminder of your renewal.
A place for the whole of you.
Whether you arrive carrying questions, exhaustion, hope, or curiosity, Listening House holds space for your story and your home—to be tended with gentleness, imagination, and sacred attention.
Let’s chat and see what you need.
Reaching out for care is often intimidating. Let’s start gently with a 30 minute introduction and see if we would be a good fit.
Welcome to Listening House. My name is Kaysie and I am a trauma-informed spiritual director, creative facilitator, interior designer, artist, poet, and mama.
I love designing spaces for deep listening and creative healing.
My life has taken me through many soul landscapes: spiritual wilderness, vocational burnout, creative rebirth, relational rupture & restoration, spacious friendship with God, and a reclamation of my own voice and calling.

Testimonials
“Spiritual direction has given me a time to rest in the presence of God and listen for His voice with a wise companion. Kaysie masterfully facilitates this time with gentleness, curiosity, and eye-opening questions that help me discover what’s under the surface. She has an uncanny way of putting words to what’s already in my heart. She has been a compassionate witness to my story, a welcoming presence to my grief, and someone who enters into my spiritual wrestling with me. I am especially appreciative of Kaysie‘s knowledge of the body’s inextricable role in trauma and healing. She understands me in a way that few ever have. There are not adequate words for the sacredness of our time together in God‘s presence, but I am grateful that God led me to Kaysie and continues to lead our time together.”

“I found a lot of what I was seeking during this retreat - grounding, accountability and accessibility to rest and the Spirit, and a beginning journey of inward peace more intentionally. I truly felt like this time began to undo a lot of what the last couple years had formed in my life, and I don't think I've had such a real tangible experience like that before.”
— Laura H.
“Kaysie was such a gracious guide for our retreat. I appreciate her gentle invitation to engage in whatever ways felt helpful. It took the pressure of feeling like I had to explain some of the recent trauma I’ve experienced. It was so nice to be able to listen to others and have time/space to process a little more of my own story. I liked how she integrated faith, scripture, and prayer without being dogmatic or oppressive. She encouraged us to be present and open to hearing how the Spirit was speaking to us or what he might be showing us. The time we spent learning about and then practicing centering prayer was so grounding for me and I was thankful for Kaysie introducing me to that type of prayer.”

Kaysie's presence and space are holy ground and it's been a privilege to sit in her chair and be heard. Leaving her space I always feel lighter and with a more clear picture of God and His love and tenderness towards me. Spiritual direction to me is best described as slowing down and taking time to intentionally see God in my story. I am so thankful for the opportunity to learn from Kaysie and have her walk alongside my journey as I navigate towards being whole emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
